On November 29, 2022, a scientific seminar on "Future energy source: lithium and research of lithium minerals in Azerbaijan" was held at the Department of Physics and Electronics. Ahmed Asimov, an employee of the Physics Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education, Ph.D. in physics, spoke at the seminar. In his speech, he pointed out that the use of renewable energies as alternative energy sources is more ecologically efficient, and highlighted the relevance of issues such as researching their sources, ways of using them, and their effects on nature et c. On the other hand, he noted the importance of using lithium-based batteries as an energy source.

The seminar was attended by faculty members and students of Physics and electronics, Petroleum engineering and Mechanical engineering departments, and a scientific discussion was held.
