On October 10, 2022, psychologist Malak Karimova, coordinator of Khazar University's Department of Psychology, gave an interview to the online news magazine meydan.tv about "Early marriage and its consequences". She noted the consequences of child marriage as a violation of children's rights and mental and physical development of children. In the interview, opinions were expressed that the birth of a child is a joint decision of the parties, especially teenagers who are forced into marriage at a young age are not mentally and physically ready for this process, they are afraid, and they do not understand parental responsibility.
