On September 23, 2022, the head of the Department of History and Archeology, Telman Nusratoghlu, spoke on the topic "Cooperation between Anatolian and Azerbaijani Turks at the beginning of the 20th century and the liberation of Baku from occupation" in a webinar organized by the Ministry of Science and Education for students studying under the Inter-Governmental Scholarship Programs. In his speech, based on archival documents, he spoke about the complex situation that arose in Azerbaijan in the period after the occupation of Tsarist Russia and the relations between the Ottoman state and Azerbaijani intellectuals, national committees and Muslim Charitable Societies established in Baku in the direction of national goals, cooperation in the field of science and education, as well as the assistance of the Caucasian Islamic Army to Azerbaijan and he gave detailed information about the process of liberating Baku from occupation.
