"New Trends in Education - Istanbul Education Forum 2022" was held in Istanbul on March 21-25, 2022 at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Enlightenment Association (AEA) and jointly organized by Istanbul Dogush University, Istanbul Topkapi University and Shahid Fikret Metin Ozturk Secondary School. The purpose of the forum was to create an opportunity for educators between the two countries to get acquainted with each other, discuss the teaching process and innovations in education, exchange views and experiences. AEA, representing the largest educational community in the country, participated in the forum with 48 Azerbaijani educators representing a number of regions of the country.

The opening of the forum and the first day took place at Istanbul Doğuş University, and on the second day the participants visited the secondary school named after Martyr Fikret Metin Öztürk in accordance with the program.

The third day and closing of the forum took place at Istanbul TopKapi University. Sabina Mammadova, the teacher at Khazar University's Dunya School and Ecology Lyceum No. 291, spoke about the education system in Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Enlighteners Association was established in 2020 at the initiative of a group of educators. At present, more than 5,000 educators from all cities and regions of the country have joined AEA.
