October 24 is the birthday of Gudrat Seyfulla oglu Ismayilzade, an outstanding archaeologist, professor, doctor of historical sciences, laureate of the Order of Glory, who devoted his life to the study and promotion of the historical past of his homeland, who studied the monuments of the Bronze Age in Azerbaijani archeology.

Gudrat Ismayilzadeh, editor-in-chief of Khazar University's Azerbaijan Archeology magazine, was the first Azerbaijani archaeologist to study the ancient cultural monument and Babadervish ancient settlement in the Guruchay and Kondalanchay valleys, to excavate the Azykh Cave, and to participate in the excavations of Troy, one of the ancient civilizations.
