On October 15-16, an introductory meeting with first-year students was held at the School of Science and Engineering. Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University, Associate Professor Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-Rector for Administration and Student Affairs, and Dr. Fakhranda Alimardanova, Acting Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media, heads of the departments, faculty and staff members were present at the meeting.

First, the students were shown a short film about Khazar University. Then Associate Professor Irada Khalilova congratulated students and gave them detailed information about the University. Associate Professor Isakhan Isakhanli addressing the students emphasized that they had made the right choice in choosing Khazar University, and spoke about the University's cooperation with international organizations, as well as opportunities provided to study under the Exchange Program. Following that Dr. Fakhranda Alimardanova gave detailed information about majors and programs to students. Alovsat Amirbayli, Director for Public Relations and Media, brought to the attention of students the rules of internal discipline of the University.

At the same time, Associate Professor Nuru Safarov the Head of the Department of Physics and Electronics, Dr. Asaf Omarov the Head of the Department of Life Sciences, Dr. Ali Huseynli, the Head of the Department of Mathematics, and Associate Professor Rasim Bayramli, Coordinator of the Department of Civil Engineering, congratulated the students and wished them every success.

At the end of the meeting, the vice dean of the faculty Vafa Aslanova explained the lesson schedule to the students, and distributed booklets reflecting the rules of examination and discipline.
