On January 16, a report meeting on results of the first semester of the first year students studying in Design, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as students studying in carpet-weaving, painting, chorus and vocal of the Department of Music and Art, was held in Marmar hall of Khazar University.
University administration, staff members, student and guests participated in the ceremony.
A huge exhibition of handicrafts of students studying in design, carpet-weaving and painting, was demonstrated in Marmar hall. Afag Karimova, a design teacher and carpet painter introduced students to participants and students, in their turn, presented their handicrafts, got feedback and exchanged views with participants.
Then students studying in chorus and vocal started to perform their program under artistic guide by honored teacher, pianist, Associate Professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, Director of the Department of Music and Art.
Soloists and choir consisting of students of the School of Education, Narmin Ibrahimova, Shamsiyya Jafarova, Afeliya Gojayeva, Tarana Mammadli, and Nijat Ismayilov, a student of the School of Economy and Management, sang Azerbaijan national and composer songs as well as foreign songs in the Turkish, Russian and English languages under artistic guide by Mashati Jabbarova, the soloist of the State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev.
Coposer Vugar Jamalzadeh, Firangiz Nasirova, head teacher of the Department of the English Language and Literature, and Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech and appreciated handicrafts and performance of the students.
