On December 27, 2017, last research seminar of this year was held at Khazar University. The seminar was organized by Khazar University Ph.D. & Master Student Association. The opening of the seminar was made by assoc. prof. Irada Khalilova, vice-rector for Research at Khazar University. She congratulated participants and wished them prosperous New Year 2018. It was noted that this year was successful in different research disciplines throughout the University. Number of high quality publications has significantly been increased. Many interesting research seminars, Journal Clubs, and Scientific Conferences were held throughout the year with participation of national and international scholars. Also, this year, Khazar University Ph.D. & Master Student Association has been established. They have already created student networks, organized workshops and seminars on effective writing skills, meetings on exchanging opinions of their ideas and practices.

Later, Ph.D. candidate Raziya Isayeva, Head of Development Centre at Khazar University, who is currently conducting her research at Middlesex University London (UK), made a speech on her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Participation of Students in University Management”. She presented her research proposal, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, primary results, and shared her knowledge and research experience gained at the Middlesex University. Interesting discussions were held during the seminar with contribution of participants, and comparison of different theories of scholars on this area was reviewed. It was noted that practical implementation of such results in Azerbaijani Universities not only could have a positive impact in the lives of students, but it could help Universities to increase their effectiveness and recognition.

The seminar was followed by a New Year event.
