On December 14, 2017, invited speaker Dr. Mehrdad Jalalian Hosseini delivered a lecture entitled “An overview of scientific writing and ethics of publishing research”. The seminar was attended by Dr. Hassan Niknafs, rector of Khazar University, research associate professor Irada Khalilova, Vice-Rector for Research, Dr. Saida Khanmamedova, associate professor of department of Therapeutic and Pediatric of Propaedeutics of Azerbaijan Medical University, Dr. Hafiz Osmanov, assistant professor of Biochemistry department of Azerbaijan Medical University, Dr. Malahat Gakhramanova, head of the “Nargiz” clinic, Ph.D. and master students from different departments. The seminar-conference consisted of two parts. Dr. Mehrdad Jalalian Hosseini, delivering a speech in the first part, gave detailed information on how to write effective abstract, and in the second part about how to apply important principles in formal journal articles. During the seminar, active and broad discussions were held on different ways of effective writing methods. Dr. Mehrdad Jalalian Hosseini is an Editor-in-Chief of Electronic Physician Journal (PubMed indexed) and a Founder of Mehr Publishing. He has conducted numerous seminars and workshops in a number of countries and has also acted as an invited key speaker in medical conferences. His areas of expertise are publishing ethics, scientific writing, and maximizing publications in academic research.
