On November 23, 2017, the Association of PhD and Master’s of Khazar University hosted a seminar. The opening of the seminar was made by Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, the vice-rector for Research of Khazar University. She urged new PhD and Master students to take an active part in research workshops.

At the seminar, Dr. Eldar Shahgaldiyev, Head of the Division for Graduate Students and Research, delivered a speech on writing dissertation, thesis and the research papers.

In the second part of the seminar, Dr. Babak Alibeyov, the instructor of the Department of Biological Sciences, presented practical and theoretical knowledge on the rules of quality writing for scientific journals and conferences.Young scientists, PhD and Master students participated in the seminar. The seminar ended with interesting discussions.

At the end, it was decided to apply the theoretical knowledge gained from this seminar and conduct a thorough discussion of the abstracts of research students from different specialties in the next seminar.

It was recommended to use the EndNote program to make a reference list.

Dr. Hassan Niknafs, rector of Khazar University attended the seminar as well.
