The new course book entitled “The sources of the Azerbaijan History” by Ziyad Amrahov, the instructor of the department of History and Archeology, has been published. It covers a large area like the source study, as part of history and its development stages, as well as the sources from the earliest times of the history of Azerbaijan up to the 19th century. The book covers the sources of the ancient history of Azerbaijan, ancient sources of Azerbaijani history, works of early medieval Armenian authors, local Albanian sources, Arabic sources, Turkic sources, sources of XI-XV centuries in Azerbaijan history, sources of the Safavids era, sources of khanates of Azerbaijan and sources of legislative acts in Azerbaijan.

The textbook is in English and designed for higher educational institution students, Master students, teachers, and a larger audience.
