As it was reported, a romance ‘One of us’ composed by Sevda Rahimova, a composer and an instructor of ‘Dunya’ school, to the poem by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, was among the 10 winners of the ‘Republican Contest of Composers’ Works produced in the Romance Genre’, announced by Culture TV of Azerbaijan Television in May, 2017.

On October 17, the International Mugam Centre hosted the Presentation of the Contest winners. Ramil Gasimov, a director of ‘Culture’ TV Channel, an initiator of the contest and Elnara Dadashova, Honoured Art Worker, spoke about the project's contribution to the genre of Romance, and, in general, the culture of Azerbaijan.

Then, the winning romances were performed. The romance ‘One of us’ was performed by Anton Fershtandt and Saida Sharifaliyeva and was accompanied by the Khazar University Chamber Orchestra (led by Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts, Associate Professor, Honored Teacher, Pianist).

The event was attended by composer Sevda Rahimova, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, and Khazar University staff.
