I and IV course students of the Department of History of Khazar University paid a long-awaited visit to Ancient Agsu on October 14, 2017. This visit was organized by Associate Professor Roza Arazova, Head of Department of History and Archeology, and Orkhan Zamanov, a lecturer of the same Department, as well as Fariz Khalilov, Chairman of “Miras” Aid for Research of Cultural Heritage Public Union. During the visit, students visited main historical monuments of Shirvan region. First, students and teaching staff of Khazar University visited Diri Baba tomb of XV century. Then there was an excursion-lesson, which was presented by F.Khalilov, involving information on final stage of Islamic archeology in Azerbaijan. At the end of the excursion, students visited historical and monumental Juma mosque in Shamakhi city.
