On August 9, 2017, moderator.az, news website, released the congrulations of MP Vahid Ahmedov on the inclusion of Khazar University in the list of the world's 150 best young universities.

 "It is undoubtedly a great achievement that Khazar University has gained  a reputation of becoming one of the best universities among the young universities in 53 countries. This means that the university proves its strength and capacity on an international level and accepts itself as a world-class university. In the broadest sense, this success, along with Khazar University, is the achievement of Azerbaijan, its educational system. 

I congratulate Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of the university, as well as the valuable staff and the students of this university and wish them success and new achievements. I think the achievement of Khazar University on behalf of Azerbaijan education is the result of the exceptional attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev to the development of education in Azerbaijan which is constantly felt on all scientific, educational institutions and their staff in our country. 

I strongly believe that the presence of Khazar University in the international QS rankings is a significant step in promoting the inclusive dynamics of Azerbaijani education in terms of integrating it into the world education system. This success of Khazar University will increase the interest in the education system of our country and will accelerate the flow of students to our universities from the most diverse countries around the world.

I once again congratulate Khazar University on this occasion and wish them new success. I hope Khazar University will continue to make our nation feel proud with its leading position in international rankings and make us happy. "
