The textbook entitled ‘Disaster Risk Reduction in Education System’, considered for teacher training by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Department of European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid has been published. The publication of the book was carried out with the financial support of Disaster Preparedness European Community Humanitarian Office (DIPECHO), within the frame of the Project ‘Disaster Risk Reduction in Sensitive Communities and Education Institutions’ conducted in Azerbaijan.

The author of the book, published in 15000 copies, is Dr. Rovshan Abbasov, Head of the Department of Geography and the Environment, Head of the Center for Environmental Studies at Khazar University. The book will be used as a teaching tool in all the higher education institutions of the country.
