On May 24, 2017, the Department of Political Science and International Relations of Khazar University hosted H.E. Aurélia Bouchez, Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, to discuss the foreign policy of France following the recent presidential elections. Ambassador Bouchez provided a general overview of the French political process, including the pre-election campaign of presidential candidates and their the foreign policy promises. Questions were asked about the European and Foreign Relations of France, the relations with the French Speaking Countries of the World and the French policy towards the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabagh conflict.

Following the seminar, Amb. Aurélia Bouchez met with Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the interuniversity cooperation between the Azerbaijani and French institutions of higher education.
