On June 22, 2016, International Affairs Office organized a pre-departure orientation for students selected for exchange opportunities within the Erasmus + Programme. Fourteen students of Khazar University from all three levels of study were selected to participate in exchange opportunities at partner universities in Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Turkey, and United Kingdom.
The pre-departure orientation was opened by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees. He congratulated all the students on being selected for the exchange opportunities and wished them good luck in their studies. Prof. Isakahnli also gave separate recommendations and advice to all students in accordance with their level of study and encouraged them to take advantage of their studies abroad.
Turan Jafarova, Director of International Affairs Office, gave a presentation about the Erasmus+ Programme, its rules and regulations as pertains to the international credit mobility. She also informed the students about important steps to be taken before, during and after the mobility. Information about health, insurance, personal safety, adjusting to a new culture, accommodation, academic expectations, and other important topics were covered.
