Khazar Cinema Club is designed for students interested in films, storytelling, visual culture, and creative discussion. The Club provides a friendly environment where students can watch, analyze, and discuss local and international films.
About the Club
Cinema is more than entertainment. It helps people understand different cultures, ideas, emotions, and social issues. Khazar Cinema Club creates a friendly space where students can explore films from different genres, countries, and periods, while sharing their opinions and developing their creative thinking.
The Club is open to all students who are interested in movies, visual storytelling, media, culture, and creative discussion.
Main Objectives
The Khazar Cinema Club aims to:
- promote students’ interest in cinema and visual arts;
- develop critical thinking through film analysis and discussion;
- encourage cultural awareness and understanding of different perspectives;
- support students’ creativity in storytelling, film reviews, and short film ideas;
- create opportunities for students to communicate, collaborate, and organize cultural events.
Key Activities
The Club organizes:
- Regular movie nights, thematic film days, and screenings of local and international films.
- Group discussions on film themes, messages, characters, social issues, and artistic style.
- Opportunities for students to write or present their reflections and reviews on selected films.
- Introductory sessions on scriptwriting, storytelling, directing, acting, editing, and visual communication.
- Meetings with filmmakers, media professionals, academic staff, or invited speakers.
- Support for student-led short film ideas, video projects, interviews, and creative media activities.
