On April 14, 2017, another event as a part of the project for higher education institutions based on the Web of Science platform of the world's leading news agency Thomson Reuters took place at the University of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University.
The event consisted of two parts. First, the representative of the Department of Science and Education at Thomson Reuters Agency, Aygun Babazadeh gave detailed information about the agency and all of its scientific journals. Then Khayala Mammadova, deputy editor of Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences talked about journal’s management principles, the requirements for scientific articles to be accepted to Web of Science platform, and informed the participants about the submission rules, selection criteria and other practical issues. Later she answered the questions of the participants.
A series of such events are planned to be held at other higher education institutions. It should be noted that the aim of the project is to contribute the development of science in Azerbaijan and promote international cooperation, through access to Thomson Reuters to increase the number of scientific publications of Azerbaijani researchers in indexed journals.
