Fourth-year students majoring in Foreign Language Teaching at Khazar University's School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences are taking part in the Online Teacher Community (OTC) program organized by the British Council.
The program, which will last 8 weeks and cover 28 hours of instruction, will enable future English language teachers to develop professionally, become familiar with modern teaching approaches, and apply their pedagogical knowledge in practice.
The first information session within the project was held on October 23. The session was conducted by British Council staff members Konul Ahmadova and Shirin Soyos.
As part of the program, participants will develop their knowledge and skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment of learning. The training will be delivered through self-study modules, online discussions, live Zoom meetings, and webinars.
The program gives students the opportunity to connect the theoretical knowledge they have gained at the university with practical experience, exchange views with other future teachers, and continue their professional development.
The participation of Khazar University students in this program is significant for preparing them for future pedagogical activity and developing their professional skills based on international experience.
