On October 27, 2026, Khazar University’s Center for Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship organized a practical workshop titled "From Lab to Market: Protecting & Commercializing Your Innovations" on the Neftchilar campus.

The interactive session was led by Khazar University alumnus Emil Gurbanov, Managing Partner at Azem and Partners and Founder of VƏKİLTAP.AZ. Drawing upon his background and extensive expertise in intellectual property, technology commercialization, and legal support for innovation, Mr. Gurbanov guided participants through essential legal frameworks and practical strategies required to safeguard and commercialize innovative concepts.

Throughout the workshop, attendees engaged in discussion on managing intellectual property rights, navigating legal frameworks, and bridging the gap between academic research and commercial markets. The session concluded with an active Q&A exchange, addressing specific participant inquiries regarding legal protection for startup ventures and technology transfer.
