On May 5, 2026, the article “European Summit in Yerevan: Is it a Breakaway from Russia?” (Erivan’da Avrupa Zirvesi: Rusya’dan kopuş mu?) by Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy, was published in Anadolu Agency.

Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev analyzed Armenia's hosting of the 8th European Political Union Summit and its impact on regional politics. He evaluated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent policy aimed at reducing dependence on Russia and normalizing relations with Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
