On March 2, 2026, a meeting was held at Khazar with Nana Kalantarli, who had been a long-time associate of the university. The event was attended by the university's senior management, staff, faculty members who had worked at the university in previous years, as well as alumni.
The main purpose of the meeting was the presentation of Nana Kalantarli's personal book collection, donated to the university library.
The event opened with a short concert programme performed by the Chamber Orchestra. Ashiq songs were performed by Ramin Garayev, a lecturer from the Department of Music and Fine Arts.
Subsequently, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, delivered a speech, sharing his memories of Nana Kalantarli and his reflections on the formative years of the university with those in attendance.
A special video address by the university's Vice-Rector for Administration and Student Affairs, Prof. Isakhan Isakhanli, was then screened. In the address, Nana Kalantarli's contributions to university life were highly commended. Isakhan Isakhanli also personally congratulated the honoree and wished her continued success.
Prof. Afgan Abdullayev, senior lecturers of the Department of English Language and Literature Firangiz Nasirova and Kamala Asgarova, as well as university alumna Lala Huseynli, shared fond memories of Nana Kalantarli and highlighted her contributions to the university community.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, during which Nana Kalantarli delivered a speech expressing her gratitude for the attention and honour shown to her.
