On April 11, 2025, second-year students of the Chemical Engineering program at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering visited the operational facilities of “Temiz Shahar” JSC. During the excursion, students were informed in detail about the processes of waste sorting and neutralization at the Balakhani Solid Household Waste Sorting Plant, Balakhani Industrial Park, and the Baku Solid Household Waste Incineration Plant.

While observing the processes of sorting, incinerating, and recycling waste on-site, students were told that solid household waste generated in Baku is managed using modern methods at the operational facilities of “Temiz Shahar” JSC. The advantages of pre-sorting waste at home before placing it into bins were discussed, and an exchange of ideas took place around questions that interested the students.
