On December 2-5, 2024, the closing ceremony of the "Youth Capital of the Islamic World" event took place in Shusha, which was chosen as the Islamic Cooperation Organization's (ICO) "Youth Capital" for 2024.
The event was attended by Khazar University's foreign students alongside representatives from 20 higher education institutions and universities in Azerbaijan, and more than 300 representatives from 52 different countries, including Iran, Türkiye, Afghanistan, Morocco, and Pakistan.
Khazar University students were active in various sections of the event. Momina Mehdi made a presentation in the auditorium, while Hasan Taha Rahimi, Ali Rza Hakimi, and Omolbanin Qaffari secured second place in the fashion section.
The event emphasized Shusha's role as a cultural and historical symbol, bringing together young people from different countries of the Islamic world.
