On November 30, 2024, in connection with COP29 being held in Azerbaijan and the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World", the State Agency for Science and Higher Education (SASHA) joined the tree planting campaign organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources on the Absheron Peninsula. Foreign students studying at Khazar University were also invited to participate in the tree planting campaign by SASHA.

Under the leadership of Fatima Valiyeva, head of the International Relations Department of Khazar University, a group of university representatives participated, including Natia Popkhadze (Georgia), Chainreshram Praburam and Rubasini Praburam (Malaysia), Emmanuella Esinam (Ghana), Apisada Laowattanabhongse (Thailand), Azada Hakimi (Afghanistan), and Medina Nuralina (Kazakhstan).
