On November 20, 2024, The American University of Technology (AUT), Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and Khazar University, Baku, Azerbaijan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a robust partnership aimed at fostering academic excellence, cultural exchange, and professional development.
The MoU, signed by Prof. Dr. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees of Khazar University, and Prof. Dr. Said Irandoust, Founding Rector of AUT, underscores a shared commitment to enhancing educational and research opportunities for students, faculty, and staff of both institutions.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Rick Shangraw, President of Cintana Education and the AUT Founding President, and Mr. Timur Rachmanov, the AUT Founding Partner, as well as other AUT officials, further highlighting the significance of this collaboration.
AUT, powered by Arizona State University (ASU), is a newly established private international university in Uzbekistan, founded in 2024 by Presidential Decree. As a member of the ASU-Cintana Alliance, AUT adopts ASU’s rigorous academic standards and innovative teaching methods to deliver employer-focused education for local and global career success.
The agreement paves the way for cooperation in various areas, including student and faculty exchanges, joint academic and research initiatives, professional development programs, lifelong learning activities, summer and winter student camps, cross-cultural and community engagement projects.
