Khazar University, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), held a conference titled "Civil Society Climate Action: Collaboration to Support Vulnerable Populations" on November 14, 2024, at the university's Central Campus as part of the COP29 events.
Representatives from over 20 countries participated in the conference. Discussions focused on the gender aspects of climate change, ways of organizing youth in this direction, increasing the effectiveness of community-level actions, and experiences of individual countries in this field.
The Conference brought together a wide range of stakeholders from governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations, and international partners to foster dialogue on climate resilience and inclusive social development. Among the distinguished participants were a Member of Parliament, the Head of Apparatus at the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurship Confederation, representatives of the Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA), the Youth Climate Movement, along with delegates from various international institutions.
