First-year students studying History Education at the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences visited the "Shirvanshahs' Palace Complex" museum on November 7, 2024, organized by Orkhan Zamanov, an instructor from the Department of History and Archaeology.
During the excursion, subject instructor Orkhan Zamanov and guide Zulfiyya Maharramova provided students with extensive and interesting information about the museum.
Student Leyla Khaligova's impression: "Through this excursion, we gained extensive knowledge about the 15th-century 'Shirvanshahs' Palace Complex'. The complex includes structures such as the Shah's palace, mosque, mausoleum, divankhana, ovdan, and tomb. The palace complex is decorated in ancient Azerbaijani architectural style, and each section is rich with unique design elements. One of the most notable aspects is the meticulous stonework and the preservation of the building's historical features. The Shirvanshahs' Palace is a magnificent place both for learning Azerbaijan's history and getting acquainted with ancient architectural monuments. We thank Mr. Orkhan and our guide Zulfiyya khanum, who explained all the details to us, for this excursion."
