On October 3-4, 2024, a delegation from Khazar University, consisting of Fakhranda Afandiyeva (Dean of School of Science and Engineering), Farida Tatardar (Head of the Physics and Electronics Department), and Salima Ahmadova (Project Manager at the Development Center), took part in an event of Politecnico Di Milano, Milan, Italy. This event was part of the Erasmus+ CBHE project, "European Energy Efficiency towards Mutually Reinforcing Partnership with Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Ukraine - 3E-Partnership."
The event commenced with a welcome address, setting the stage for discussions on sustainability and technological innovation. A key highlight was the presentation by Professor F. Grassi, who introduced PoliMI students as "Ambassadors of Green Technologies and Smart Infrastructures," fostering student engagement in sustainability efforts.
Professor M. Delfanti provided valuable insights on "Instruments for Renewable Energy Sources Support in Europe".
Additional sessions featured Professor M. Iacchetti, who focused on "Generators for Direct-Drive Wind Energy Conversion Systems," and Professor A. Berizzi, who addressed "Power System Stability Issues in a Quasi 100% RES Based Generation," exploring the challenges of integrating renewable energy sources into existing power systems.
Professor C. Del Pero concluded the academic presentations with a discussion on "The Decarbonisation of the Building Sector – Constraints and Opportunities," highlighting both challenges and innovative solutions for reducing carbon footprints in the construction industry.
Participants engaged in lab visits at the Leonardo Campus, gaining hands-on insights into the latest advancements in energy technologies.
The event represented a significant step forward for the 3E-Partnership project, enhancing collaboration and knowledge exchange among participating institutions.
