On October 25, 2024, Aytaj Misgarli, Deputy Director of the Library Information Center (LIC) of Khazar University, and Samira Orujova, Head of the Information Services Department, participated in a meeting organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education at the Library Information Center of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University with representatives from "Clarivate" and "Scopus" companies.

The meeting discussed the important role of libraries in the development of science. The discussions covered the current state of libraries, access to scientific and educational resources, electronic transformations, and cooperation with faculties, researchers, and students.

The representatives of "Clarivate" and "Scopus" companies shared information about the activities of libraries at the world's leading universities and the approaches implemented there with the meeting participants.

In conclusion, the preparation of a roadmap that will cover the problems and opportunities discussed at the meeting and further improve the activities of the libraries was set as a target.
