Khazar University was the only higher education institution from Azerbaijan among the organizers of the Press Symposium in the Turkic World, dedicated to the memory of Hasan bey Zardabi, the founder of Azerbaijan's national press, held at Ege University in Izmir, Turkey, on October 15-19, 2024.
The symposium was attended by 60 scholars from Turkey and 110 scholars from 17 countries. Khazar University was represented by Dr. Haji Narimanoglu, instructor at the Department of History and Archaeology. He first conveyed the greetings of Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, to the symposium participants and the leadership of Ege University, and then delivered a presentation on the history of the idea of common language and alphabet of Turkic states. The presentation was well-received and followed by extensive discussions. Certificates were presented to the participants.
On the opening day of the symposium, the Cultural Center of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Turkey, with the support of the Ege University Faculty of Literature staff, organized a magnificent concert by Azerbaijani artists at the Izmir Cultural Center, along with exhibitions dedicated to Karabakh, Shusha, Victory Day, and our national costumes.
