On September 26-27, 2024, the 10th International Turkish Language Congress was held in Ankara, Türkiye, organized by the Turkish Language Institution. Aynur Gazanfargizi, associate professor of the Department of Languages and Literature at Khazar University and coordinator of the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Folklore (ICAF), presented a report titled "Calques transferred from Russian to Kumyk" at the meeting and received a certificate.
Nearly 200 scholars from 26 countries attended the congress. The congress featured numerous presentations on topics such as Turkish becoming a world language, common Turkish, common Turkish alphabet, the use of Turkish words in other languages, and more. It should be noted that the Turkish Language Congress has been held every four years since 1932, the year the Turkish Language Institution was established, by decision of Atatürk.
