On June 20-21, 2024, the dissertation defense of the master's students studying international relations and diplomacy, history and theory of international relations, world political processes, conflictology and regional studies of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy of Khazar University was held. MA students defended their dissertations on the following topics: Nurlana Hagverdiyeva “Comparative Analysis of US and Russian Foreign Policy Approaches in the Middle East”, Nahida Rasulzadeh “EU- Azerbaijan relations: Energy and The Armenian -Azerbaijan conflict”, Hanhae Hong “Evaluation of South Korea's Nation-Building Process: The origins of the conservative cartel in Korean politics”, Chichak Nasirli “Turkey's Middle East Policy in the Justice and Development Party Era: Strategic Objectives and Resources”, Mahammad Akhundov “The future of the Europeanization process in Eastern Partnership countries after the War in Ukraine” , Brilliant Windy Khairunnisa “Cultural Diplomacy in International Relations: A Case Study of Indonesia's Engagement”, Laman Gahramanova “Origins of the Russia-Ukraine War: Realism versus Constructivism”.
The defense commission was chaired by Dr. Vasif Huseynov, a lecturer at the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy of Khazar University, Department Head of the Center for the Analysis of International Relations, and Dr.Mehman Hasanov, a lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Sociology at Baku State University. The members of the commission were Dr. Orkhan Valiyev, the head of the Khazar University Political Sciences and Philosophy Department, the department's lecturers - Doctor of Political Sciences Prof. Vasila Hajiyeva and lecturer Dr. Farid Guliyev.
Following the presentations and discussions, the works were evaluated positively.
