The monograph entitled "Azerbaijani Nationalism" (The Process Leading Azerbaijan to the Republic) is based on the dissertation defended by Dr. Orkhan Valiyev, the head of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy, "Construction of the National Identity of Tsarist Period Azerbaijan: 1850-1920," at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science and State Administration, Sakarya University, Republic of Türkiye. The publication, released in December 2023, is by the internationally indexed Nobel Academic publishing house of Türkiye. Notably, the initial edition of the monograph was previously published in Türkiye in 2020.

The monograph explores Azerbaijan's modernization journey from the Tsarist era to the establishment of the republic, focusing on the construction of national identity and the inception of the first modern state. The monograph is the first work published in this context.
