On March 30, 2023, an online seminar on "Multicultural Nationalism" by Professor Tariq Modood of Bristol University (England) was held. Professor Modood is one of the researchers of Islamophobia and multiculturalism.

Dr. Orkhan Valiyev, the head of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy of Khazar University, Tarlan Orujova, the deputy dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, and students participated in the online seminar. Issues of nationalism and multiculturalism were covered in the seminar. Professor Modood analyzed the extent to which national identity is multicultural. After the presentation, students' questions were answered.
