On November 10, 2021, a meeting was held at the Baku Higher Oil School on the results of research on communication, cooperation and networking in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan within the Erasmus + ECAR project. Rector and Vice-Rectors, including project partners from Azerbaijan and partners from European universities attended the meeting of this project to which Khazar University is a partner and coordinated by Baku Business University.
The event began with an introductory speech by Nijat Mammadli, Head of the Department of Science, Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Ministry of Education. Head of the National Erasmus+ Office Parviz Bagirov briefed on the project.
The meeting continued with the presentation by Dr.Inga Juknytė-Petreikien, the staff member of Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania, on the needs of higher education institutions in Azerbaijan based on the results of the survey. Professor Regina Valutyte, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the same university, explained the legislative framework for the establishment of the Azerbaijan Rectors' Conference.
In the next part of the event, Professor Regina Valutyte and Gulshan Bayramova presented the most appropriate management model for the Conference of Rectors of Azerbaijan based on the results of the research. The project's European Union (EU) partners shared their views on the findings.
The event ended with a discussion of rectors from Azerbaijani universities.
Khazar University was represented at the meeting by Irada Khalilova, Rector of the University, Vlad Vernygora, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Raziya Isayeva, Head of the Development Department.
