On November 2, 2021, a meeting was held at Khazar University between the university administration and the AZERSU OJSC, SUKANAL Scientific Research & Design Institute. Rector of Khazar University Irada Khalilova, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering Fakhranda Alimardanova, Dean of the High School of Natural Sciences, Arts and Technology Saida Sharifova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov, Director of Sukanal SRDI Vugar Mirzeyev, Deputy Director of Sukanal SRDI Elnur Nasirov attended the meeting.

The meeting covered the issues like involvement of Khazar University students in training and internship programs at Sukanal SRDI, signing a memorandum to ensure joint participation in grant competitions of local and international donor organizations and future cooperation between Khazar University and Sukanal SRDI and the development of cooperation accordingly, applying to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, using experience to purify surface waters contaminated with heavy metals in the currently liberated territories, et c.
