On October 8, 2021, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Khazar University was held.
Opening the meeting, the rector of the university, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, first congratulated the university staff on the beginning of the new academic year and wished them success in their teaching activities.
The chairman of the council then brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the members of the scientific council. On the first issue of the agenda, information about the graduates of the university was presented to the members of the council on the basis of the presentations of the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering Fakhranda Alimardanova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences Elza Samadova and Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Arts and Technology Saida Sharifova.
The dean of the faculty of higher education brought to the attention of the members of the council detailed information on the second issue - topics of the thesis of the master's students and the approval of the supervisors. Brief information on the topics was given and discussions were held.
Then, the issue of preparing a program for conducting doctoral examinations in Azerbaijani literature and submission it to the Higher Attestation Commission for approval was discussed.
Issues to be considered in the action plan of the departments, holding seminars and conferences were discussed and relevant instructions were given to the departments. In addition, the importance of preparing a report on the scientific activities of the university was discussed, and the members of the council were informed about the information required in the report, the procedure for their preparation et c., and the responsibilities of the departments were reminded.
At the end, the annual attestation of doctoral students at the end of the year and the responsibilities of the departments and faculties of higher education in this regard were discussed and relevant decisions were made.
