On 20 October 2021, HE Egidijus Navikas, Ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan visited Khazar University. The high-profile guest had a productive meeting with the university’s Rector, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, who was joined by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Vlad Vernygora, Dean of School of Economics and Management Associate Professor Jeyhun Mammadov, Head of Department of Political Science and Philosophy Dr. Farid Guliyev, and Coordinator of International Affairs Office Rauf Ismayilov.

The two sides discussed a range of avenues on enhancing cooperation between Khazar University and Lithuania-based educational institutions, and some of the options were pencilled into the notes for immediate actioning.

The visitation was concluded with the Ambassadorial open lecture – ‘Lithuania’s perspective on security and NATO’ – delivered by HE Egidijus Navikas to Khazar University’s students in the framework of the course on ‘NATO and Security Studies’.
