On July 6, 2021, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Khazar University was held. The meeting was opened by the Rector of the University, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, who first introduced the newly appointed director of the Institute of Asia-Pacific and African Studies, Vlad Vernigoru, to the board members.

The chairman of the council then brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the members of the scientific council. On the first issue of the agenda, information about the graduates of the university was presented to the members of the council on the basis of the presentations of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Fakhranda Alimardanova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences Elza Samadova and Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Arts and Technology Saida Sharifova.

The dean of the faculty of higher education brought to the attention of the members of the council detailed information on the second issue - topics of the thesis of the master's students and the approval of the supervisors. Brief information on the topics was given and discussions were held.

The third issue related to the dissertation topic and approval of the supervisors of doctoral students and dissertators was also submitted for discussion by the faculty of higher education.

Then, the issue of preparing programs for the relevant specialties for conducting PhD examinations and sending them to the Higher Attestation Commission for approval was discussed.

In the current issues, taking into account the experience gained during online teaching during the pandemic, the issue of preparing proposals for the organization of online classes for the next semester was discussed and relevant instructions were given to the departments.

Relevant decisions were made on the issues discussed.
