On July 6, 2021, the finalists of the Creative Spark Big Idea competition, a joint effort of the British Council and the Metropolitan University of London, were announced: Khazar University students are among them.
According to the British Council Office in Azerbaijan, the competition provides an opportunity for the young aged 18-35 to put forward their business ideas and improve their entrepreneurial skills. This initiative is especially of great importance at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the entire world economy. This year, there will also be an award in the new category of climate change. It demonstrates the challenges posed by climate change and the business ideas that cover them in order to protect our planet and its resources, with society as the focus, at the local and national levels.
The finalists were selected by an international and national jury with extensive experience in entrepreneurship education and creative entrepreneurship. The public can vote on the website until July 18 to choose the winner of the "People's Choice" award. Last year, nearly 100,000 people voted to determine the winner of the People's Choice Award, giving the teams a very valuable chance in the international arena.
We congratulate Khazar University students on reaching the finals and the organizers who helped them with good results, and we wish them success in the finals.
