On July 1, 2021, a meeting was held between the management of Khazar University and  Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC. Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University, Dr. Fakhranda Alimardanova, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, Dr. Mehdi Kiasatfar, the lecturer of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Rasoul Moradi,the coordinator of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering  and Behnam Kiani, the lecturer and doctoral student at the Computer Science Department, ElshadNuriyev, Director of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC, Elkhan Shiriyev, Deputy Director, Yadullah Babayev, Head of Research and Development Center, Ayaz Allahverdiyev, Chief Specialist, and Khanim Rzayeva, Specialist attended the meeting.

The meeting began with welcoming the guests and continued with the presentation of the activities of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC. The parties discussed joint cooperation between the university and the institution.Then the meeting participants visited Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) LLC, one of the residents of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC. After the presentation on the activities of STP LLC, they got acquainted with the production area of electrical equipment and the plant of polymer products.

It was decided to renew the memorandum of cooperation signed between Khazar University and Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) LLC at the meeting.
