Khazar University, Azerbaijan Veterinary Research Institute, Karabakh Equestrian and Dilbaz Equestrian Complexes continue the joint study of the project "Studying genome profile of Karabakh and Dilbaz horse breeds: Identification and utilization of genetic markers and allele variations in breeding programs" that won the "Science-Education-Industry" grant competition of the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In June, within the framework of the project phenotypically compatible individuals of Karabakh and Dilbaz horses were selected at the Karabakh Equestrian and Dilbaz Equestrian Complexes and the data were entered into an electronic database. At this stage, the horses were appraised and to study the genome profile of the Karabakh and Dilbaz horse breeds one individual from each breed was selected and registered. An electronic database was set up for data entry. The next step will be chipping individuals who do not have an electronic chip.
