Telman Nusratoglu, the lecturer at the Department of History and Archeology, has published a book entitled “South Caucasus Reports of Ottoman Foreign Ministry (1852-1914)" in Turkey.
The book covers the history of the Ottoman Empire, the last world power of the Turkic-Islamic world, which ruled Asia, Europe and Africa for centuries, uniting many peoples with different languages, religions and cultures under its flags with great tolerance from 1852 to 1914. The book demonstrates the activities of the State Alliance through diplomatic missions in the Caucasus after the Russian occupation, in particular, reports prepared by the Consulate General, developments in the region after the second half of the XIX century, assessments, information sent to Istanbul.
The book encompasses the first publication of very important Shahbander documents entailing the activities of the Ottoman Foreign Ministry in the South Caucasus.
