On June 18-20, 2021, a group of young people climbed the highest peaks of Azerbaijan, Bazarduzu (4466 m) and Zafar (4301 m) with the coordination of the Baku Mountaineering Club. Nazila Aliyeva, the participant of the expedition, Khazar University MBA graduate, Assistant Dean of the School of Economics and Business, waved the Khazar University flag at the highest point in Azerbaijan.
Note that Bazarduzu peak is located in the Main Caucasus Range of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, on the border with the Russian Federation, in Gusar region. The unnamed peak on the east of Bazarduzu Peak was officially named Victory Peak on February 9, 2021 In honor of Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.
The participants of the expedition commemorated the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War at the summit of Victory and thanked the soldiers of the victorious Azerbaijani army.
