On June 16, 2021, master students of Khazar University’s Department of English Language and Literature presented their dissertations- An investigation of intimidation strategies in Covid19 discourse by Sonasi Valiyeva, The Critical Discourse Analysis in the Persuasive Language of Hotel Advertisements by Nigar Huseynova, The manifestation of grammatical deficit in the speech of Azerbaijani monolingual Broca’s aphasics by Sabina Sharifova, Role of Metalinguistic Awareness in Ambiguity-based Humour Comprehension by Fidan Isbarova, A comparative study of stylistic devices used during Covid19 in English and Azerbaijani languages in Media Discourse by Tamella Mammadova- in a preliminary discussion held online for a master’s degree in linguistics. Their dissertations were approved for the next stage.

The discussion was attended by the head of the department Dr. Bahman Amani, research coordinator Milana Abbasova, lecturers of the department Ilham Tagiyev, Dr. Davud Kuhi and master students.
