SPE Khazar University Student Chapter was awarded the “Student Chapter Excellence Award 2021”. This prestigious award is the second highest honor a student chapter can receive and is awarded to only 20 percent of student chapters around the world.

SPE Khazar University Student Chapter was established on 1st of January in 2005. The mission of the chapter is to provide students with SPE membership which gives them access to the technical and non-technical knowledge besides will keep them in touch with the prestigeous, dynamic community of petroleum professionals worldwide and many other benefits.

The SPE board members 2020-21 of SPE Khazar University Student Chapter are:

Ziyadddin Omarov, 3^rd year BSc Petroleum Engineering-President; Diana Ismayilova, 3^rd year BSc Petroleum Engineering-Vice President; Imtiaz Ahmed, 2^nd year MSc Petroleum Engineering- Communications and Outreach Chairperson; Ayan Aghakishizade,4th year BSc Petroleum Engineering- Program Chairperson; Agshin Garashli,3rd year BSc Petroleum Engineering-Treasurer; Rashad Musayev, 3^rd year BSc Petroleum Engineering-Officer; Zeynab Farzizadeh, 2^nd year BSc Chemical Engineering-Secretary.

Because of hard work the SPE Khazar Board put into the chapter, their robust approach to different activities makes it possible to achieve this goal. The chapter has won the “Student Chapter Excellence Award 2021”.
