On May 18, 2021, under the organization and leadership of coordinator of Khazar University’s Department of History and Archeology, Orkhan Zamanov, first-year students of the School of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences visited the Shirvanshahs’ Palace Complex.
The palace, other buildings and exhibits belonging to the Shirvanshahs, the longest-lived state of Azerbaijan, were met with great interest by students. The main purpose of the visit to the Shirvanshahs’ Palace Complex was to acquaint students with the remains of the Shirvanshahs, one of the ancient states of Azerbaijan, and the living conditions of our compatriots in the past.
Leyla Aliyeva, a professional guide and museologist, took part in the visit and provided students with comprehensive and substantial information.
