On May 20, 2021, Khazar University’s Development Office and the School of Economics and Management held a virtual seminar entitled “Museums as a Main Direction of Cultural Tourism” within the framework of Erasmus+ PICASP project, to which Khazar University is a partner. The main purpose of the seminar was to inform the participants about the role of museums in the improvement of cultural tourism and the importance of their development in this field.

Opening the seminar Asam Mammadov, Coordinator of the School of Economics and Management at Khazar University, provided information on the benefits of the previous seminar and the topic of the current seminar that held within the framework of the project.

Then the floor was given to the guest speaker Professor Minakhanim Asadli, a staff member of the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management. Professor Asadli informed the participants about the functions of museums, their place and role in cultural tourism. The interactive seminar was met with great interest and participants addressed many questions to the speaker.

The seminar was attended by students and staff from Khazar University, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, as well as members of the “Miras” Association.
